Woman dragged from vehicle after it catches on fire on the I-10

A woman was dragged out of her vehicle after the vehicle lit up on fire on Interstate 10, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The vehicle fire happened on the right-hand shoulder of eastbound I-10 and Indian Canyon shortly before 3:30 p.m., according to CHP.

A caller told officers that the vehicle was stuck in the sand and started spinning its wheels, causing the vehicle to spark.

The CHP said the woman was still in the vehicle while it was on fire, but she was able to be dragged out.
