Wrongway driver involved in collision
A drunk driver drove the wrong way and caused a serious wreck in Palm Springs late Sunday afternoon, said police.

The weekend watch commander for the Palm Springs Police Department said it happened around 5:15 p.m. on Gene Autry Trail.
A driver suspected of being under the influence of alcohol allegedly drove southbound in the northbound lane.
A sedan and a truck collided causing significant damage to both vehicles. Both drivers suffered moderate injuries.
The roadway between District Center Road and Tachevah Drive was closed for several hours, but had reopened by 9 p.m. The investigation is ongoing.
