2.8 Magnitude earthquake felt near Anza

The USGS has reported a 2.8 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 10:03 a.m. approximately 6.2 miles east-southeast of Anza.

The quake was centered at a depth of 6.2 miles. Just yesterday, 4 earthquakes struck near Cabazon in the span of 10 hours.

According to the USGS’s “Community Internet Intensity Map,” people felt the “weak” intensity shaking as far south as Valley Center and as far north as Palm Desert.

There were no reports of injuries or property damage at this time.
