Masked robber holds up Beaumont gas station at gunpoint

A ski-masked robber who held up a Beaumont gas station at gunpoint was being sought by police today.

The hold-up occurred at 10:48 p.m. Wednesday at the Shell gas station at 97 Beaumont Ave., according to the Beaumont Police Department.

Police said the robber pointed a handgun at a store employee and escorted them to the registers, which were emptied. The suspect then left on foot with “an undisclosed amount of cash.”

The suspect was last seen wearing a green ski mask, blue sweatshirt, and blue latex gloves, but a more detailed physical description was unavailable.
