Five-car crash in Palm Desert closes lanes, delays traffic

A five-car crash in Palm Desert near Washington Plaza has closed down southbound lanes on Washington from Palm Royale to Fred Waring.
The accident happened just before 7:30 a.m. Monday morning.
We’re told two people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Traffic is being diverted, but we’re told to expect delays over the next hour.
