Local gas prices drop for 8th time in 10 days

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped today for the eighth time in 10 days, decreasing two-tenths of a cent to $3.685.

The average price has decreased 1.9 cents over the past 10 days, including four-tenths of a cent on both Tuesday and Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 1.1 cents less than one week ago but 1.8 cents more than one month ago and 72.4 cents higher than one year ago. It has risen 61.2 cents since the start of the year.
