Sneak peek at the brand new Pixar Pier opening at Disney California Adventure Park

The beloved Pixar characters are getting a new home at Disney California Adventure Park!

This Saturday is the official grand opening of the new Pixar Pier featuring the Incredicoaster and Pixar Pal-A-Round attractions, as well as new neighborhoods for all the classic movie characters and food locations.

KESQ & CBS Local 2’s Kelley Moody is getting a sneak peek of all the fun before it’s open to the public. You can watch live Thursday at 6:30 p.m. on Eye on the Desert and tomorrow morning on KESQ and CBS Local 2 This Morning for a look inside the new whimsical attractions.

The first neighborhood on the pier is Incredibles Park, inspired by Disney Pixar’s The Incredibles. It features a mid-century-modern-style, which resembles much of the architecture found in the Palm Springs area.

Next to Incredibles Park is Toy Story Boardwalk, where Andy’s toy box comes to life. Inside Out Headquarters is set to open at a later date.

Pixar Promenade features games where guests can enjoy pay for play game booths, themed for popular Pixar movies and shorts.

Lamplight Lounge is the newest restaurant opening. It’s an elegant yet family-friendly spot with gastro-pub cuisine and signature cocktails.

Pixar Pier is opening amid Pixar Fest, a limited-time celebration that runs through September. One of the highlights is the new Together Forever-A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular fireworks show at Disneyland Park.
