Body found in Sky Valley, Riverside Sheriff’s deputies investigating
Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the discovery of a body in Sky Valley. The deceased man has not been identified at this time.
At approximately 11:15 a.m., deputies responded to reports of a man’s body near the intersection of Aurora Rd. & Newport Rd. in Sky Valley. They are actively investigating the scene.
Personnel from the Riverside County forensic team, as well as the Riverside County Coroner’s office, arrived on the scene around 1:25 p.m.
According to Investigator Armando Munoz of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, there is no threat to public safety and that investigators were not currently looking into the death as suspicious.
According to a local resident, the body was discovered today by a property owner near Newport Rd. and Aurora Rd. The property owner noticed a bad smell near the intersection yesterday and found the body after investigating the area.
