Riverside County Gas prices drop for 16th straight day
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped today for the 16th consecutive day, decreasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.626, its lowest amount since May 8.
The average price has decreased 6.9 cents over the past 16 days, including three-tenths of a cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The streak of dropping prices is the longest since a 26-day run from Nov. 27-Dec. 22.
The average price is 4 cents less than one week ago and 7.7 cents lower than one month ago, but 74.9 cents more than one year ago. It has risen 55.3 cents since the start of the year.
