Excessive Heat Soon!

For the most part, yesterday was a typical day as far a weather goes for Southern California and you’ll see more of the same again today.

You can expect clear and dry conditions today and again for Independence Day with Coachella Valley highs below 110-degrees.

But after that, the heat is on!

A huge upper-level ridge of high pressure will begin to strengthen over the Southwest elevating afternoon highs into the one-tweens on Thursday… then one-teens for Friday and Saturday.

Because of that, the National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Watch for just about all of SoCal for Friday and Saturday. This Watch should be elevated to a Warning very soon.

One final note. It looks as through the Southwest will begin to see some mid-level monsoonal moisture by this Saturday and Sunday which could lead to a few scattered showers in Coachella Valley area mountains and to our East. We’ll keep you updated.
