One person injured in Desert Hot Springs mobile home fire

Cal Fire/Riverside County firefighters are combating a mobile home fire in on the 11000 block of Western Avenue west of Indian Avenue in Desert Hot Springs. The fire has been contained to the structure and 1/4 acre of vegetation.

The first responding fire crew found a double-wide modular home fully engulfed in flames at the scene.

Crews on scene said one person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. A second person was evaluated by paramedics at the scene and declined further medical treatment. There were no other injuries reported.

35 firefighters, 11 fire engines, and 1 overhead unit are on the scene combating the blaze.
