Several law enforcement agencies join forces to rescue group in Indio Hills

A team of law enforcement agencies successfully rescued three men in an unincorporated area of Indio Hills on Saturday afternoon.

Crews with CAL FIRE-Riverside, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene near Berdoo Canyon Road and Dillon Road, where one of the men got stuck while off-roading, just after four p.m. The men then had reported feeling sick due to the heat.

Firefighters and sheriff’s deputies looked for the group by ground, while the while CHP’s helicopter H60 flew overhead. The victims were located and evaluated by paramedics at the scene, but declined further treatment.
