Hiker stranded on ravine in Palm Springs

Palm Springs authorities are in the process of rescuing a hiker stranded on a ravine.

According to the Palm Springs Police Department, shortly after 8 p.m., they received a report that a man was stranded at the bottom of a ravine off the hiking trail above Crescent Avenue in Palm Springs.

Police say the hiker is not injured but ran out of water and can’t get out of the ravine. The Palm Springs Mounted Search and Rescue Team are preparing to access the hiker and bring him to safety.
