Congressional candidate Kimberlin Brown Pelzer opens campaign HQ in Cathedral City
The Republican challenger for the 36th congressional district Kimberlin Brown Pelzer opened her campaign headquarters in Cathedral City Friday evening as continues her campaign to unseat Congressman Raul Ruiz.
Brown Pelzer says her private sector experience makes her a good candidate for the seat. She is using the California gas tax as a rallying point in her campaign, saying California residents pay too much in taxes.
“You know the gas tax people don’t generally live in the area in which they work and that gas tax basically means a family of four spending that extra $700+ every single year on taxes instead of putting that money in their pocket for their family,” Brown Pelzer told KESQ & CBS Local 2.
Brown Pelzer received the majority of the Republican vote back in June and says she feels confident heading into November elections.
