Indio house fire leaves four displaced

Riverside County firefighters contain a fire that caused major damage to an Indio house. Cal Fire says the fire originally started in the garage but the blaze spread into the attic.

The fire was reported at 3:32 PM at a home on the 83000 block of Calypso Circle. Additional units have been sent to the scene to help combat the fire. As of 4 p.m., 24 firefighters and five fire engines were dispatched.

According to Cal Fire, no injuries have been reported. Four adults were displaced, they received assistance from the and declined assistance from the American Red Cross.
