Documented gang member arrested in Coachella for possession of narcotics
The Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force arrested a Coachella man after conducting a vehicle stop in Coachella Thursday evening for possessing illegal drugs. 19 year old Miguel Navarro was arrested for possession of narcotics while armed and possession of narcotics for sale.
Task Force officers said Navarro, the driver, fled during the stop and was apprehended a short distance away. They seized a loaded .22 caliber revolver, approximately 4.7 ounces of heroin, 25.1 grams of cocaine, 8.1 grams of methamphetamine and more than $8,000.00 in U.S. currency.
Officers said Navarro was a documented criminal street gang member. He was booked at the Indio Jail.
