Varner Road closed for power pole repairs after traffic collision
Varner Road between Mountain View and Date Palm has been shut down for an extended period of time according to Cathedral City Police.
Police said the closure was due to Southern California Edison crews replacing a power pole that was damaged after a traffic collision.

The collision happened around 1:30 Sunday morning. No word on any injuries or the cause.
Power has not been affected to any SCE customers so far.
