10-day price-positive gas streak ends for Riverside County

A 10-day streak of decreases to the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County ended today with an increase of one-tenth of a cent to $3.559.

The average price dropped 4.2 cents during the streak, including three-tenths of a cent on both Saturday and Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 2.5 cents less than one week ago and 8.1 cents lower than one month ago but 72.1 cents more than one year ago. It has risen 48.6 cents since the start of the year.
