Roads back open in La Quinta following RSO investigation
Several roads in La Quinta are back open after being closed for several hours due to an ongoing criminal investigation, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies the following roads:
Eastbound Fred Waring Drive at Dune Palms Road Westbound Fred Waring Drive at Monticello Northbound Dune Palms Road between Miles and Fred Waring Drive.
Citizens were urged to avoid the area.
We are continuing to work to confirm details about the investigation at this time.
Sheriff’s Deputy Armando Munoz said the closures were just for “precautionary purposes,” allowing investigators to look into what happened while unimpeded by local traffic.
