El Centro Border Patrol arrest 28th sex offender of 2018
Border Patrol arrest previously convicted sex offender near Calexico.
According to Border Patrol, Mexican national Maximo Flores- Lezaman, 43, was arrested Thursday evening after illegally entering the United States roughly five miles west of the Calexico Port of Entry.
Record checks revealed Flores- Lezaman had a felony conviction in California for Sex with a Minor. Flores- Lezaman was sentenced to one year in prison and three years probation after the 2002 felony conviction.
Flores-Lezaman is the 28th sex offender arrested by El Centro Sector in fiscal year 2018 and will remain in federal custody pending prosecution for violation of criminal law.
