College of the Desert women’s golf team embracing opportunity to reach next level

The Roadrunners are ready for the upcoming season, hoping to play well enough to attract some interest in 4-year college programs.

Former Xavier Prep golfer and COD freshman standout Zoe Walker is one of those players. She just started playing the sport as a sophomore in high school and is using this opportunity at COD to grow her game.

Walker is hoping to receive some Division 1 interest after seeing her friends do so out of high school. She is the top player for the Roadrunners this season and has a legitimate chance at competing at the next level.

As a reminder, COD is offering free tuition for local graduates, providing a great opportunity for local student-athletes to develop and eventually advance their career.
