Collection site in Palm Springs for Cranston Fire communities

Thursday morning, ‘Feed America’ will be offering canned goods and other food items to the Cranston Fire communities.

The organization will be bringing a big rig full of food to distribute at the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Church on 53830 Tollgate Rd in Idyllwild beginning at 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.

We have not heard of a local drop-off site for food that will make it up to the distribution tomorrow morning.

Canned goods and back-to-school supplies are needed for Cranston Fire communities. There is a collection site run by Well in the Desert at 441 South Calle Encilia in Palm Springs, it is open until 6 p.m. today and again tomorrow morning starting at 7:30 a.m. Donations will be taken up to Idyllwild.

People can also take their donations to the Idyllwild Help Center on Highway 243.
