Indio Police seeks public’s help finding shooting-linked vehicle
The Indio Police Department is seeking the public’s help in located the above-pictured vehicle, which is wanted in connection with a shooting investigation.
On July 29, IPD officers responded to reports of a gun-shot victim at JFK Hospital. The injury, a gunshot graze wound to the head, was non-life threatening and the victim was released later that evening.
Law enforcement later determined that the injury was sustained during a gang-related confrontation in front of the Circle K at 43995 Clinton Street in Indio. The confrontation was believed to be between rival gang members.
“The suspects arrived grey colored Hyundai (possibly a Sonata),” read the IPD news release. “The vehicle was occupied by at least one male driver and one female in the front seat, with a possible third and/or fourth subjects in the back seat.”
