Ribbon Fire, which scorched 200+ acres near Pinyon Pines, caused by lightning

A wildfire that scorched over 200 acres near Pinyon Pines was sparked by lightning, according to Cal Fire.

The 205-acre Ribbon Fire was reported at 10:12 a.m. Thursday, less than 24 hours after the Cranston Fire was sparked just to the northwest. Fire crews fully contained the blaze by late Monday afternoon.

The fire prompted evacuations warnings for Pinyon Pines, Pinyon Crest, and Alpine Village, as well as the Pinyon flats campground. Those restrictions were lifted Friday morning.
