La Quinta pharmacy broken into for 3rd time this year

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an early morning burglary of Pharmacy of the Desert. The business has been broken into three times this year according to the owner.

Around 2 a.m., 5 suspects rammed a white pickup truck through the property’s metal security gate and then the back door of the pharmacy according to the owner. The suspects then took what they could, but did not manage to take any narcotics or controlled substances.

No arrests have been made at this time. The pharmacy is located on the 79400 block of Highway 111 in La Quinta.

During the previous two break-ins this year, the owner says that suspects broke through the walls and windows of the establishment.

According to the owner, the suspect or suspects used a vehicle to ram the back door of the business and gain entry.

Employees at adjacent stores have expressed concerns about the break-in, due to the possibility of possible burglars breaking through the walls and finding their way into other area businesses.
