Minor earthquake rumbles north of Cabazon
A magnitude 2.8 earthquake rattled the region just north of Cabazon this morning, two days after another temblor with an epicenter nearby.
The latest quake was recorded just before 3:30 a.m., with an epicenter about 2 1/2 miles northwest of the city, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
No injuries or damage were reported, though residents in Banning, and as far away as San Diego, reported feeling the shaking.
The temblor follows a magnitude 3.2 temblor that struck at 6:48 a.m. Saturday, near the same spot as Monday morning’s quake, about 2 1/2 miles northwest of Cabazon, according to the USGS.
