Family of Eric Littleton hold vigil on 1-year anniversary of discovery of body

Monday marks one year since the body of 30-year-old Eric Littleton was discovered in a remote area near Desert Hot Springs.

Littleton’s family held a vigil at their home in Covington, Kentucky Monday evening to mark the anniversary.

Littleton was found along a dirt road a few hundred feet east of Mountain View Road. Investigators said his body had been decomposing out in the elements for weeks and had been eaten by coyotes and scavengers.

One year later, his family is still left without answers.

His mother says the sheriff’s department is working some leads but will only say it’s an open investigation.
