Palm Springs International Animation Festival kicks off
More than 250 full-length and short animated films from across the globe will be screened starting Wednesday during the 2018 Palm Springs International Animation Festival and Expo.
Through Saturday, the festival will feature films from more than 100 countries, with more than 20 animation styles on display, including 2D, 3D, hand-drawn, painted, watercolor, sand, paper, experimental, stop-motion, VFX, and more.
Screenings begin at 10 a.m. each day at the Palm Springs Cultural Center, 2300 E. Baristo Road.
Awards across 37 categories will be handed out to filmmakers whose works will be featured during the festival.
Guests can also enjoy VR experiences, live animation demonstrations, and seminars with animators, filmmakers, character and model sculptors and other industry experts.
