Oceanside man arrested for Idyllwild stabbing
A San Diego County man suspected in a non-fatal stabbing attack in Idyllwild was being held today without bail.
Jeremy Greene, 23, of Oceanside, was on the lam for two days before being arrested and booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, according to sheriff’s Sgt. Chris Willison.
The stabbing occurred about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 26000 block of state Route 243. The victim, who was not identified, was found with multiple non-life-threatening stab wounds and was taken to a hospital, the sergeant said.
“Deputies canvassed the area and were unable to immediately locate the suspect,” Willison said.
Greene was found Thursday, hiding at a property in the 25800 block of state Route 243, just up the street from the stabbing scene, he said.
He is being held without bail due to an out-of-county warrant, according to Riverside County jail records.
