The first arriving unit reported a single-story, commercial wide-rise structure with a fire involving two semi-truck trailers at the rear loading dock.

“Those customers were inside the store as well as employees were evacuated. Their emergency plan worked. I personally was at the front of the store with the store manager when I checked in,” said Captain Fernando Herrera, public information officer for Cal Fire. “Just about everyone that was a customer was evacuated. There were still some employees checking their areas, those were evacuated, moved from the inside of the building to the parking lot.”

The fire was contained shortly after 5:05 p.m. The loading dock was damaged but no injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Stay with KESQ & CBS Local 2 with updates
