Desert Hot Springs HS sophomore Carlson climbing the ranks of MMA

15-year-old Shaniyah Carlson continues to impress on the mixed martial arts (MMA) circuit with already four championship belts on her waist.

Carlson is a sophomore at Desert Hot Springs High School who trains at Kihon MMA with an eventual goal to turn professional at 18.

At this point she is the 110 pound California USFL Champion, 110 pound national champion, 115 pound California USFL Champion, & the 115 pound Panda Cup Champion of Northern California that she won this weekend in Sacramento.

The UFC film crew is working on a Ronda Rousey special that Carlson will be included in.
