Riverside County average gas price drops

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped four-tenths of a cent today to $3.554, one day after rising four-tenths of a cent.

The average price is four-tenths of a cent less than one week ago but 5.1 cents more than one month ago and 44.8 cents greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen 48.1 cents since the start of the year because of higher oil prices.

Over the past six days, the average price has dropped three times, risen once and been unchanged twice.
