Riverside County gas prices on the rise
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County has risen to $3.569.
The average price is 1.4 cents more than one week ago, 6.6 cents higher than one month ago and 48.3 cents greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen 49.6 cents since the start of the year.
“Local gasoline demand continues to be strong while refineries are making less fuel as they convert to production of winter-blend gasoline that can be sold in pumps starting Nov. 1,” said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California’s corporate communications manager.
“Those factors have prevented prices from dropping.”
