Man stabbed in the neck at Metrolink station

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – A man was stabbed in the neck while waiting for a train at the a downtown Riverside Metrolink station Saturday morning.

The attack happened at the Vine Street Metrolink Station around 8 a.m. The station was partially closed for two hours after the incident for investigation.

Riverside City police officers are calling this a “random” attack.

The victim was rushed to a hospital, underwent surgery and was in critical but stable condition, said Riverside City police Officer Ryan Railsback.
