Three-vehicle crash shuts down traffic lights in Palm Desert intersection

Traffic lights in a Palm Desert intersection have been shut down due to a three-vehicle crash.

The crash was reported shortly before 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Fred Waring & Portola. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department confirmed one person was hospitalized.

KESQ & CBS Local 2 crew at the scene confirmed traffic is being diverted from Primrose to Portola. All lanes are blocked on Fred Waring heading westbound at Portola & Fred Waring. Southbound lanes are also closed at the intersection.
