Collision shuts down downtown Palm Springs street

A popular Palm Springs Street is shut down after a collision between a vehicle and a person.

Palm Springs police are telling people to avoid North Palm Canyon Drive in the downtown area between Tamarisk Road and El Alameda because of what they’re calling a traffic collision.

Drivers are now being urged to use alternate routes.

No word on when North Palm Canyon Drive will be reopened.

We’re still working to find out the condition of the driver and the pedestrian.
