Haunted cemetery in Cathedral City bringing the Halloween scares

Some cathedral city residents are ready for Halloween!

If you are around Melrose Drive and Earl Road in Cathedral City, you will notice a mist in the air. A haunted house in the area has set-up graveyards with a misty fog creeping into the neighborhood.

The house is all decorated up for Halloween with Freddy Krueger lurking in the shadows. Around the corner is an elaborate graveyard with a built-in haunted house in the garage. The area is filled with props and special effects to get you those Halloween scares. The owners tell KESQ & CBS Local 2 the set-up takes a month to put together.

It’s been a spooky favorite in the community since 1999 and it’s open to the public.

One haunted cemetery is at 37894 Melrose Dr. in the Cathedral City Cove, a second is right around the corner on Earl Road. If you’d like to visit before Halloween, call 760-202-8813.
