UPS truck collides with car in Palm Springs
Gene Autry Trail between Seven Lakes and Mesquite Ave in Palm Springs is closed following a collision between a UPS truck and a Mercury sedan.
The driver of the UPS truck sustained minor injuries and the driver of the sedan sustained moderate injuries.
The road will remain closed until around 11:30 a.m. The accident occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. this morning.
Tow trucks are on the scene, but oil leaked on the bridge as a result of the collision, so cleanup may take longer than usual.
The UPS truck caught on fire while it was in the process of being towed, but the blaze was quickly put out with a fire extinguisher.
