Cabazon Outlets packed with shoppers for Black Friday

The lines were long and the stores were packed at the Cabazon Outlets this Black Friday.

“I know that Gucci and Nike were passed like two hours each…” said Brendton Zupan, an employee at the outlets.

Despite the long lines, most shoppers told KESQ & CBS Local 2’s Madison Weil they had a great time taking advantage of special deals.

“A lot of people were in for a busy day…but it’s cool we’re here to hang out and have fun,” said shopper Chris Raygoza.

A couple of shoppers even said they drove over two hours just to check out the shops. Others like Diego Mazo from Colombia stopped by while on their holiday vacation

“The prices in this season is very cheaper than in Colombia,” Mazo said.

For some, the lines in the stores were fine, but trying to find a place to park was the real struggle.

“Once we got off the freeway it took us 45 minutes from there just to the parking,” said shopper Jessica Loera.

Employees, who say parking is already difficult on a normal basis, agree.

“A lot of cars, parking is crazy,” Zupan said.

The shops were so busy, even those who live nearby offered up their driveways to shoppers for a fee.

Even though those lines were long and finding parking was a hassle, most shoppers we spoke to said they knew what to expect coming into today and thought it was worth it to get those great deals ahead of the holidays.

“Yeah amazing deals…we’ve been here before we knew where the deals were going to be at,” said outlet shopper Flerida Castelan.

If you are planning on making a trip out to Cabazon, those Black Friday deals will go through Monday. Click here for additional coupons.
