Vehicle overturns on Highway 111 in Palm Springs

At least one person has sustained minor injuries following a two-vehicle rollover collision on Highway 111 in Palm Springs.

The collision, which occurred at approximately 1:47 p.m., began when a Toyota spun out onto the righthand shoulder of the roadway and rolled into the adjacent desert area. A second vehicle became involved in the collision shortly after the first vehicle spun out.

One passenger in the Toyota had to be extricated and sustained minor injuries. A second passenger was unscathed. The driver of the second vehicle may have sustained minor injuries, according to a CHP officer on the scene.

It is unclear what caused the collision.
