Waymond Fermon pulls ahead for Indio City Council

The County of Riverside Registrar of Voters released new vote tallies Sunday night — bringing challenger Waymond Fermon ahead of incumbent mayor Michael Wilson by 65 votes for a seat in Indio City Council’s district two.

Fermon was ahead by just 25 points as of Wednesday. Sunday’s results show the greatest margin Fermon has seen so far.

According to the Registrar of Voters, approximately 34,000 vote by mail and 45,000 provisional ballots have yet to be processed. The next results are expected Monday at 5 p.m.

Certification of the results is expected by December 7th.
