Truck hauling 138 calves crashes in Yucca Valley

On Monday afternoon, a semi-truck hauling livestock on Twentynine Palms Highway in Yucca Valley crashed into a Chevy Silverado. The accident occurred at approximately 2:46 p.m. near the intersection of Twentynine Palms Highway and Inca Trail.

The truck was hauling a livestock trailer with 138 calves in it at the time of the collision. It’s estimated that 20 calves were knocked over during the crash. The health status of the cattle is unknown at this time.

The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
