Local woman collecting donations for members of migrant caravan

A local woman is collecting donations to give to members of the migrant caravan.

Lauren Wolfer, a Palm Springs resident, says she plans to travel down to the Tijuana, where several migrants are waiting for asylum or stuck, on Thursday.

“There’s so much horrible stuff in the world, there’s a lot of suffering. One quote I love from Mr. Rogers is that when you start to feel depressed about things around you and these horrible situations, to look for the helpers and I just wanted to try to be a helper,” Wolfer said.

Wolfer said she is looking for donations of clothing, diapers, as well as tents and sleeping bags.

If you would like to send any donations you and message her on Facebook here or email her lmwolfer@gmail.com.
