Coroner identifies two men killed in Palm Springs crash

The Riverside County Coroner’s Office has identified the two men killed in a crash Tuesday afternoon in Palm Springs.

Cathedral City resident Francisco Ruiz Jr., 45, and San Diego resident Brian William Clark, 41, were killed in a crash on Indian Canyon near Instate 10 at around 1:45 p.m.

According to the Palm Springs Police Department, a vehicle traveling northbound on Indian Canyon struck a parked vehicle. A pedestrian was near the parked vehicle at the time of the collision. Both the driver of the vehicle traveling northbound and the pedestrian near the parked vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. Ruiz was the pedestrian killed in the accident, while Clark was the driver.
