Three suspects arrested in Indio AM/PM shooting
Indio police announce three suspects are in custody for their roles in the shooting near the AM/PM on Jefferson Street Tuesday evening.
Two men were shot Tuesday at around 9:35 p.m. at the AM/PM on Avenue 42 & Jefferson Street. One man suffered minor injuries and the other which was more serious. The male with serious injuries remains in critical condition, IPD confirmed.
Investigators determined three males were involved in the shooting. Thursday at around 3 p.m., Martin Chapa, 38, of Indio, Daniel Lua, 30, of Mecca, and David Lua, 43, of Bermuda Dunes, were arrested and booked into the Indio Jail for two counts each of attempted murder.

This was the second shooting in 24 hours in Indio. Wednesday night, a 47-year-old man was shot outside a residence near the area of Primrose Avenue and Bamboo Street. The condition of the man remains unknown. IPD announced they believe more than one suspect was involved in the shooting.
