The Turpins were last in court on October 5, when the defense requested for an allowance for Louise Turpin to attend an out-of-custody mental health diversion program. Defense Attorney Jeff Moore said at the hearing that Louise Turpin had been diagnosed with histrionic personality disorder, which causes her to be excessively controlling. Moore also argued that Louise’s criminal actions were motivated by the disorder.

That request was denied.

In August, the Turpins entered not guilty pleas for 88 criminal charges.

The Turpins are being held on $12 million each at Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.
