Family of four, six pets displaced by Palm Desert fire
A family of four has been displaced after a fire erupted in their Palm Desert home.
The fire broke out at the residence, located on the 73000 block of San Gorgonio Way in Palm Desert, at 12:55 p.m. Cal Fire crews responded to the scene and were able to contain the fire to just one room in the home.
The Red Cross was sent to the scene to assist the family, their five dogs and one cast with assistance in finding temporary lodging.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

No one was injured in the blaze.
