Man accused of robbing Postal service worker arrested
Inspectors with the United States Postal Service issued an arrest warrant today at the 69000 block of Sunny Lane in Cathedral City.
27-year-old Frederick Carl Victorero of Cathedral City was arrested this evening following the service of the warrant.
According to a news release by the Cathedral City Police Department, who assisted in the service of the warrant, Victorero is suspected of assaulting a U.S. Postal worker and stealing a package from the worker in Desert Hot Springs.
During the warrant service, investigators discovered evidence of a marijuana honey-oil extraction-lab, including clandestine lab equipment and marijuana plants, inside the residence. Investigators also found finished product, several weapons, high-capacity magazines, and a large amount of ammunition.
Investigators say Victorero was renting the residence along with his girlfriend, who was not arrested.
Victorero was taken into custody and charged with assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers or employees. Other Federal Law Enforcement Agencies responded to the scene to participate in and complete the illegal lab operation investigation, which is continuing at this time.
