Former Cal Fire Chief John Hawkins announces retirement date

Former Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Chief John Hawkins announced his last day on the job will be Christmas Day.

Last week, Hawkins was honored at the Riverside County Board of Supervisors meeting.

Hawkins has been a firefighter since 1964 and served as chief from 2006 until he was replaced by dan talbot last January.
