Couple meets good Samaritan who helped put out fire at their home
Last Friday, a fire broke out in the home of Elena and Josue Pineda. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to just the master bedroom. The Pinedas most likely would have lost their home, if it wasn’t for a good Samaritan who stepped in to help.
Gary Goodman was driving by when he noticed the fire. He pulled over, picked up a nearby garden hose, and helped battle the flames.
The couple didn’t know who Goodman was but expressed their thanks on News Channel 3 and said they hope to one day meet the man who helped save their home.
“The people that actually saved our house are people we don’t even know. I hope to find out who they are..and say thank you,” Elena said.
Watch News Channel 3 at 6:30 p.m. as the Pinedas meet the man who saved their home for the first time. The three speak with News Channel 3’s Madison Weil about the damage, why despite the fire, they feel grateful.
